About NEET 

Candidates who are aspiring for seats in AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) courses shall have to appear for the NEET 2018. In India, The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance examination. The NEET or NEET-UG (Undergraduate) entrance examination is for students those who wish to study Graduate Medical Course i.e., MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or Dental Courses i.e., BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) in any Medical College in India which is either Government or Private. For MBBS and BDS courses, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the authority which conducts the NEET-UG entrance examination.

The NEET examination is conducted every year in various cities across India. It is the National Level Medical Entrance Examination. All individual exams conducted previously by states and private medical colleges and All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) examinations are replaced by the NEET-UG entrance examination. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, Jawahar Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Postgraduate Institute for Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh are excluded from the NEET-UG Entrance Examination for filling seats. CBSE and Medical Council of India (MCI)  initially proposed to conduct the NEET Entrance examination 2012 onwards only.

But several states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal and Gujarat have strongly opposed this move saying that there was a huge difference in the syllabus which was proposed by Medical Council of India and their State Syllabus. Due to several reasons CBSE and MCI had deferred the exam by a year. The Government of India announced the test and it was conducted for the first time on 5th May 2013 all over India for students getting admissions for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medicine.

Later several petitions were filed by the students against the NEET entrance Examination. Finally, on 18th July 2013 Supreme Court (SC) had given the decision in the favour of students petitions and cancelled the NEET examination and also ordered the MCI not to interfere with admission process done by the Colleges on their own. In 2016, The NEET entrance exam is conducted in English and Hindi. The MCI announced that the NEET exam will be conducted in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, and Odiya languages so totally students can write the examination in nine (9) Indian languages and English from 2017 onwards.

The Results and All India Merit List for NEET-UG was announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education. As per directives of Supreme Court, MCI, and DCI, The Merit list and Wait list are prepared. In 2013, The Supreme Court declared NEET as illegal and unconstitutional. But on April 11,  2016, five bench constitution bench recalled the verdict which was announced earlier and also announced the Central Government and MCI to conduct the NEET Entrance Examination.

On may 1, 2016, The All India Pre Medical Test also known as AIPMT was conducted. And later it was conducted as the First phase of the NEET. After this exam was conducted The Supreme Court had given permission to conduct the NEET entrance examination. The MCI had announced the NEET Exam second phase to give the chance for the students who did not appear for the first phase. It also given chance for the students who already appeared for the first phase NEET entrance examination but that candidates have to give up their first phase NEET score. The syllabus for NEET-UG was announced by MCI in 2011.

>NEET Eligibility::

->By December 31, 2018, the candidate must complete 17 years of age.

->The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

->The Candidate must have passed 12th class examination with 50% score in aggregate.

Syllabus Pattern of NEET Exam 2018

The NEET Examination consists of 180 questions.

Physics – 45 Questions

Chemistry – 45 Questions

Biology(Botany – 45 and

Zoology – 45 –  4 marks were awarded for each correct answer. For each wrong answer 1 mark is deducted.

NEET Exam Admit Card 2018-2019

Now in NEET 2018, Aadhar Card is not mandatory. The Candidate can submit an alternative Identification Number such as Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, Ration Card or other Government Id. The notification for NEET 2018 examination is released on 8th February 2018. The NEET registration Dates and filling online forms are opened from 8th February 2018.

The last date for registration and submitting online Application forms is 12th March 2018. The last date to submit the application fee is 13th March 2018.The candidates can register and submit their application online through website www.cbseneet.nic.in. The correction in application form is from 15th March 2018  to 17th March 2018.

The Admit Cards are released on 17th April 2018 through the website www.cbseneet.nic.in. The NEET-UG Entrance Examination was conducted on 6th May 2018 on Sunday (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM). The Examination was conducted successfully. Around 13 lakhs students have appeared for the NEET 2018 Examination. After the NEET Entrance Examination was conducted, the Answer Key was released by private institutions with in few hours. The official NEET Key Answer was released after 1 week. After Answer Key was released Students can check their answers.

And they can estimate their score. The Candidates have an opportunity to challenge against the key. The Answer Key is released through online website. The Candidates have to pay Rs.1000/- per answer challenged. In case the Board accepts the challenge, the amount will be refunded. The Candidates are eagerly waiting for the Results. The MCI and CBSE are planning to release the NEET Results 2018 on June 5th 2018. Once the Results are released the candidates can check their results on website www.cbseneet.nic.in. or www.cbseresults.nic.in. The Cut off marks will be announced at the time Exam results release only. The Candidates can download their rank cards from www.cbseneet.nic.in.
