www.desw.gov.in/scholarship PM Modi Scholarship Scheme 2018-19 [Class 10th/12th] Applications form download Online: DESW (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme is for all the Students who are Children of Ex-Servicemen all Over the Nation. To Encourage the Children of Ex-Servicemen in education, Our Central Government has Started the Scheme Called Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme. It is for all the Students who do different Courses as Under Graduation as well as Degree Qualifications. This Scholarship Scheme Provides financial Support to the Students who are Economically backward. For every Academic year, DESW (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) Provides Scholarship.
By keeping in view that the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and widows population is Increasing, there are Several demands from various associations and sectors for a separate department to look after the welfare of Ex-Servicemen, War widows and their dependents. Finally, in 1986 the decision was made to create a separate resettlement division in the Department of Defence.
About DSEW board
On 22nd September 2004, a new Department was created in the Ministry of Defence for the purpose of welfare of the Ex-Servicemen and their dependents in our country i.e. Children, Wife Etc
DESW (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) is the authority of this Scholarship. All the children and widows of Ex-Servicemen are eligible to apply for this Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme. Ex-Servicemen departments like Army, Navy, Coast Guards, Air Force and all Military Services. Minimum education qualification to apply this Scholarship by passing 10th or 12th or Diploma with 60% Score. DESW (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) Prime Minister.
Scholarship Scheme is applicable upto Bachelor Degree courses such as BE (Bachelor of Engineering), B.Tch (Bachelor of Technology), BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications), BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), B.ED (Bachelor of Education), B.PHARMA (Bachelor of Pharmacy) Etc. But the Candidates who Studying Masters Degree like are not elighible to apply this Scholarship.
The Candidates who applied for DESW (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme should submit certain documents as follows:
1) Birth Certificate and the date of birth on it should be Same as on the 10th Standard Certificate .
2) Copy of the Ex-Servicemen certificate .
3) Copy of PPO (Pension Payment Order) Issued at the time of retirement of servicemen.
4) Bank Account pass book first page and the account should be only from SBI (State Bank of India) or PNB (Punjab National Bank).
5) Copies of all the Study or Bonafide Certificates of 10th or 12th.
6) There is a need of the cancelled cheque of that Bank Account including all the details of the account .

After the application of the candidate is Successfully processed, the amount will be credited in to the candidates Bank Account as below:
For Boys, Rs. 2000/- per month and the total Amount of the year is granted at the start of the Academic year only.
For Girls, Rs. 2200/- per month and the total amount of the year should be paid at once.
All the candidates can renew ther Scholarship by using Bonafide Certificates by showing that they are continuing their further education.
